This morning at St. George's we heard the story of Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee. His disciples were terrified of the storm, and feared that Jesus had abandoned them. But Jesus had not forgotten them, and calmed their fears and commanded the storm to cease. As Rev. Nejib reminded us, Jesus does not promise that there will be no difficulties or storms in our lives - in fact, we are all sure to have them. But we should remember that Jesus does not forget or abandon us, and realize that we can discover Jesus even (or especially) in the middle of our hard times.
It was also a joy this morning to come together to celebrate the baptism of our brother Elias. We pray for his journey of faith over the years to come.
A reminder that the Rev. Alison will be licensed at St. George's on Sunday 18th Feb. Please remember to be in church earlier than usual to welcome our guests coming for the service.
